NOVEMBER 2011
I am in Brazil from the 4th November to 2nd December taking a group to the Cerrado and Pantanal as well as the Amazon - this will be followed by some time at REGUA a reserve in the Atlantic Rainforest where I will be involved in some of the conservation work.
During this time in Brazil I may have limited internet connection therefore please be patient if I cannot get back to you straight away.
I intend to write a trip report with lots of photos on this website as soon as I can when I arrive back in the UK.

MAY 2011I was recently invited to go to the BRITE (Brazil International Travel Exchange) conference in Brazil enjoying meeting numerous companies offering many different potentially new trip destinations for Parrot Watching.
As part of the conference I was invited to check out several lodges and other facilities around the Manaus, Amazon area of Brazil. In total I visited 8 lodges, hotels, Amazon cruise ships as well as checking out some of the general tourism places within Manaus such as the Opera House, Meeting of the waters etc.
I was able to swim with Pink River Dolphins, handle a Caiman, catch a Piranha and dance with a native tribe - 'almost forgot' saw lots of birds and other wildlife including numerous parrots and macaws (2 new ones for me Festive Amazons and Tui Parakeets).
